Florida Stairworks realizes the importance of having a commitment to many trade organizations.
The SMA, Stairbuilders and Manufacturers Association, is a national organization of stair builders. Belonging to this organization keeps us in tune with the industry on a national level. The SMA also researches and interprets code issues that affect all staircases. This information is very beneficial in the day to day design work that we do for our clients.
The Architectural Woodworks Institute, AWI, is the national organization that dictates the national standards that all member woodworking companies utilize. You will notice on most architectural drawings their specifications are listed by the designers.
The Local Builders Associations, BIA and the CCBIA, are very active in our local area. Belonging to these associations keeps us informed of the local building market and any changes in the local, regional or state market building codes or governmental concerns. You will find Florida Stairworks at their monthly meetings and supporting their business and charitable functions.
We are members of the National Association of Home Builders, NAHB. They are one of the largest trade associations in the United States. They work with federal agencies on regulations affecting the housing industry in areas such as codes, energy, and the environment
