Walnut material, more commonly referred to as American Black Walnut, grows in the United States and Canada. It has a moderately course, uniformed texture with a rich dark brown color and some lighter to white sapwood. This wood is used in some of the higher end products that we manufacture. When picking out Walnut for your stair product, you will find that the lengths of material are often narrower or short than some of the more common species that we use. Therefore, you will have more glue joints in this product. When incorporating these glue joints, it becomes part of the character of this product and unfortunately cannot be avoided. |
